FACES OF DEATH 2019
171 drawers spanning the worlds of gallery artists, graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, filmmakers, fashion designers, cartoonists, hair stylists, and casual doodlers gather together to celebrate life and shed some creative light and positivity on the complicated subject of death with a group show captured in a time-capsule screenprinted memorial t-shirt edition. In the spirit of respecting spirits, F.O.D. maintains a not-for-profit philosophy—all print sales cover production/release event expenses and help sustain the annual project organized by Brooklyn, NY-based artist Michael Hambouz and founded by friend Milton Carter in 1997.

An annual project paying tribute to the past year’s fallen heroes and icons, Faces Of Death (F.O.D.) began in zine form in 1997 and features portrait drawings from countless international artists culled together into ever-evolving iterations of limited edition prints. Brooklyn-based artist, Michael Hambouz, was passed the management torch in 2013 by project founder Milton Carter. In the spirit of respecting spirits, F.O.D. maintains a not-for-profit philosophy—all print sales cover production/release event expenses and help sustain the project, now in its 21st year. All are welcome to participate.
