GROWROOM // SHOWROOM is the gallery component of Center for Advancement of Contemporary Art (C.A.C.A.). As one of the last vestiges of Old Williamsburg, C.A.C.A. was conceived as a collective studio run by artist Maya Hayuk in 2011. While galleries and artists moved further away into Bushwick and beyond, the need to have physical, activated presence in the neighborhood grew from pipe dream to a real imperative.
